About
Short one for a bio line. Medium one for an introduction. Long one if you actually want to know who you are dealing with.
One line
Mark Gabrielli is a founder and operator who builds recurring revenue systems, and a father writing the long version down while it is still true.
One paragraph
Mark Gabrielli is the founder of WETYR Corporation and the operator behind MarkCMO, where he works as a fractional marketing leader for founders who have a real business and no growth system. He builds companies around recurring revenue instead of one-time wins, and he spends most of his time in the unglamorous middle of the work. Before any of it he was an athlete, which is where the standards came from. He lives in city, state with his family.
The long version
I did not start out as a marketer. I started out as a kid who found out that if you showed up early and stayed late, people started expecting things from you, and that expectation turned out to be the most valuable thing I ever got handed.
Sport taught me the operating model before I had a company to run it in. Conditioning is compounding. A depth chart is a market. Losing in front of a crowd is a product launch that does not land. Being coached hard by someone who believed in me is still the template for how I lead.
The business years came next. the arc of ventures, wins, and failures. What I learned across all of it is that the money is not in the launch, it is in the second payment. Anyone can sell something once. Building a thing that earns the renewal forces you to actually be good.
Today I run WETYR and I sit in the marketing chair for other founders through MarkCMO. The work is the same in both: find the system that makes revenue repeat, then defend it against everyone who wants to trade it for a spike.
Underneath all of it is the reason this site exists. I have four decades of expensive lessons and a family who will otherwise have to buy them all again at full price. So I am writing them down, in public, in order, while I can still remember what it actually felt like.
